Shakun Logistics, as the name suggests, is our logistics wing. Shakun Logistics has a successful background in bulk cargo movements of iron ore and coal in Bellary, Hospet and Mangalore, all located in the Southern part of India. We specialize in bulk cargo movement via rail road which gives our clients the usual benefits of economies of scale. At the Shakun Group of Companies, logistics involves two methods; Railway wagons loading and trucking.

RAILWAYS
To reduce costs, the bulk of our raw material is transported via railway. We work closely with the concerned railway authorizes in India to enhance a long term beneficial working system.
TRUCKING
The Group relies upon its in-house trucking expertise as well as from the market to optimum resources and faster movement of cargo.

• Pioneers in development and opening up of Guntakal West Railway siding as a loading station for loading of Iron Ore after coordinating with the railway authorities .
• Reviving Tuggali Railway Siding for movement of iron ore, setting up weigh bridge and infrastructure facilities.
• Pioneers in setting up Munirabad Railway siding in the Hospet sector to load wagons for iron ore movement.
• Record road movement of cargo of iron ore for LMJ International of more than 7000 tons in one single day.
SCOPE OF WORK
We offer turn key logistics solutions right from loading of cargo in the mines to its transport to the final destination.We move the cargo for the mine owners/exporters either directly from the mine head to the final destination or transport the cargo to our railway siding. we then load the cargo in to rakes for futher movement to the various ports.This ensures the usual benefits of economies of scale and helps our client decide whether he wants to move his cargo by road or rail or in combination depending on the market conditions. We also engage in sourcing cargo & liasioning for traders/exporters.
We have strategic tie ups at various ports and can offer tailor made solutions right from sourcing of the cargo, movement to ports or domestic markets. We even have tie ups to offer total logistics solutions (which includes stevedoring vessel chartering) up to the final port to where the cargo is eventually exported.
We even provide logistics solutions for specific cargos which require specialized containers or tankers namely crude coal tar which we supply to tar plants in central India. We offer services for movement of coal imported from other countries to their requisite factories.
